IHN Administrators Assume New Roles

Sarah Bergren and Alex Sosa have new responsibilities

Dear IHN Community,

I hope that you are sustaining good health. I would like to share a couple of updates regarding the Institute of Human Nutrition (I.H.N.) Administrative changes.

Alex Sosa (he/him), the I.H.N. Senior Administrative Coordinator, has assumed the responsibilities of M.S. program recruitment and student support, effective immediately. Alex has been a member of the I.H.N. community since 1992, marking this year his 30th anniversary as an administrator. Alex is also a member of the I.H.N. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, as the admin rep. In his updated roles, Alex will be releasing his grant management responsibilities, and continuing to provide instructional technology, event program support, and focusing on prospective M.S. student recruitment, and student aid and resources.

Sarah Bergren, M.S. ‘14 (she/her), the I.H.N. Education Officer, has assumed the role of Manager, Education Initiatives, effective immediately. Sarah has been a member of the I.H.N. community since 2014, having received her Master’s degree from the I.H.N., and working as the Education Officer shortly after graduation. Sarah is also a member of the I.H.N. Executive Committee. In her updated roles, Sarah will be releasing her M.S. program recruitment and general M.S. program responsibilities, and continuing to facilitate the M.S. program admissions and alumni affairs, as well as developing Continuing Medical Education (C.M.E.) and additional education initiatives.

I hope you will join me in congratulating our terrific colleagues and thanking them for their dedication to the Institute of Human Nutrition!
