The Institute of Human Nutrition (IHN) at Columbia University is dedicated to advancing nutrition science through interdisciplinary research, education, and community engagement. Grounded in academic excellence and innovation, IHN brings together faculty, students, clinicians, and partners to address today’s most pressing nutrition and health challenges—locally and globally.

IHN fosters a collaborative research community spanning basic science, clinical research, public health, and translational nutrition science. Our faculty investigate the biological, behavioral, and environmental factors that influence human health while training the next generation of nutrition scientists and health professionals to translate evidence into practice.
