2020 Columbia Cornell Obesity Medicine Course Moves Online

In May 2020, the annual Columbia Cornell Obesity: Etiology, Prevention, and Treatment course became available online, allowing healthcare professionals to participate remotely.

The 2020 course included four general education sections covering obesity medicine and a fifth review section for physicians preparing for the American Board of Obesity Medicine certification exam.

About the Columbia Cornell Obesity Medicine Program

The course is part of Columbia Cornell Obesity Medicine, a long-standing collaboration between Columbia University’s Institute of Human Nutrition and Weill Cornell Medicine.

The program provides evidence-based education on the causes, prevention, complications, and treatment of obesity. It is designed for physicians and other healthcare professionals seeking to strengthen their understanding of comprehensive obesity care.
