MS Students Celebrate Lunar New Year at Columbia IHN
This winter, students in Columbia’s MS in Human Nutrition program came together at the Institute of Human Nutrition for a festive Lunar New Year celebration organized by members of the MS cohort.
The student-led event featured dumpling making, desserts, and mahjong, giving classmates an opportunity to share traditions, try new activities, and enjoy time together outside the classroom. The gathering brought a sense of warmth to the winter season and highlighted the many cultures and experiences represented within the IHN community.
For students in an intensive graduate program, moments like these help make the MS experience more personal. Beyond coursework and academic training, events such as the Lunar New Year celebration give students space to connect with one another, celebrate student leadership, and build relationships that carry through their time at Columbia IHN.
