Annual Course Offerings
CCOM offers two spring core courses and a summer certification exam review.
Each annual edition is a separate activity with its own registration, credit total, and expiration date.
Spring Core Courses (April/May)
Obesity: Etiology, Prevention, and Treatment
A foundation in the science and clinical management of obesity for healthcare professionals.
Annual format
Four-day spring course in New York City and by livestream, plus an on-demand edition.

30+ CME credits annually; confirm the specific edition and format.

Obesity: Additional Topics for Advanced Study
Further study for clinicians seeking to deepen their obesity medicine knowledge.

Summer Review Course (June)
Review for the Obesity Medicine Certification Exam
Prepare for the obesity medicine certification exam with a focused clinical review. Healthcare professionals seeking a shorter overview of obesity medicine may also find this course useful.

10-15 CME credits annually; confirm the selected edition.

Standalone or included in the three-course package.
On-demand registration is available throughout the year while an edition remains open. Purchasing one edition does not include access to a later annual edition; a new registration is required.
Returning participants: Past core course participants are eligible for a 60% discount on the review course and future versions of core courses. Contact CCOM to confirm eligibility and request a discount code.
Maintenance of Certification (MOC)
All CCOM courses provide Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits, as well as Maintenance of Certification (MOC) credits approved by participating specialty boards. Check the accreditation statement for your exact course and complete its evaluation, assessment, and reporting requirements.

Board-specific credit is subject to the activity’s accreditation and successful completion requirements. Consult the course listing for the applicable credit amount and reporting instructions.
On-Demand Course Access and Navigation
Finish your course and claim CME before its expiration date. Learners who do both retain access to the materials for 36 months after that date.

Please note that on-demand courses are available for a limited time. We encourage learners to complete all coursework and claim CME credit before the expiration dates listed below.
Learners who complete their course and claim CME credit by the stated expiration date will retain access to course materials for 36 months following course expiration.

- Scroll to your course of interest.
- For Incomplete Courses: Click Resume. Continue to work through course content until it is complete.
- Please note that all sections in the left-hand navigation must be completed and marked with a check to be considered complete. If you believe you have reviewed all content but a section is not checked, return to that section and make sure you have clicked the Continue button at the bottom of the page.
- For Completed Courses: Click Review. Under the Materials section, select the linked Content text to review course materials.
- To view or download your certificate, click Certificate.
On-Demand Course Completion Policy
Incomplete courses cannot be extended beyond their expiration dates. An upgrade to the latest edition may be available for an additional fee. Contact CCOM to discuss your options.
Discounts
Discounts are available for non-physician providers, fellows and residents, pre-professional students, Columbia/ Cornell/ NewYork-Presbyterian affiliates, military personnel, past CCOM participants, and groups of five or more.
