In October 2023, Columbia University’s Institute of Human Nutrition (IHN) announced a partnership with Olivia Thomas, MS, RDN, LDN, to share recipes, eating tips, and cooking videos for breast cancer patients at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC).

Introduced during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the initiative brought nutrition education into patient settings through a pamphlet and accompanying videos. At the time, the videos were planned for select CUIMC waiting rooms, and printed pamphlets were also available.
